Join us for a very special evening of music featuring the premiere of “To Champion Our Future” by composer Mark Surovchak, commissioned in honor of Morrie Brand and made possible through generous community support recognizing his extraordinary musical contributions to Greensburg.

The evening will also include Morrie Brand’s Percussion Concerto, Shenandoah by Frank Ticheli, and selections from Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, conducted by Adam Gillespie.

Morrie Brand was the Managing Director of the Westmoreland
Symphony Orchestra for 17 years and established the WSO Academy of Music in
2005. He conducted the Philharmonic and established the Philharmonia and String
Ensemble. He also founded the Summer Philharmonic and Summer Philharmonic Wind
Ensemble in 2013.

The concert is free and open to the public
