Monday, October 14

Pastel Class with Cindy Berceli

This spirited class at the Greensburg Art Center offers many gems of information on technique and the application of pastels. You’ll experiment with different surfaces while working from still life and/or photos. Tuesday, October 15 

Exploring Hand-building in Clay with PJ Appleby 

Discover the joy and simplicity of hand-building in clay at the Greensburg Art Center. This class will guide you through hand-building techniques such as pinch pots, slab construction and coil building as well as how to combine and utilize the various techniques to create your own unique pieces. This class runs for eight Tuesdays from September 17 to November 5 starting at 6:30 p.m. This class is beginner level for ages 18+. Paint What You Like and Like What You Paint with Debbie King

This class at the Greensburg Art Center explores watercolor design, materials and techniques to achieve success while enjoying the process of creativity. Aroma Acupoint Therapy & Restorative Yoga

Aroma Acupoint Therapy, or AAT, is a gentle, and profoundly effective treatment that utilizes the energetic potential locked within pure essential oils.This event at Red Brick will be a relaxing and wonderful pairing of restorative and yin yoga postures, breath work and meditations paired with AAT. Fleischner Lecture: The State of Catholic-Jewish Relations Today with Dr. Philip A. Cunningham

This presentation at Seton Hill will explore the dynamics of the Jewish and Catholic relationship amid the present crises and suggest ways to continue to deepen it. Speaker Dr. Philip A. Cunningham is Professor of Theology and director of the Institute for Jewish-Catholic Relations of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. Scotch Doubles Pool Tournament 

Join the Mutual Fire Hall every Tuesday at 7 p.m. for Scotch Doubles Pool Tournament. These tournaments are for fun as this is not a league. Cost is $5 for entry, there are no sign ups and teams are randomly generated. Arrive before 6:45 p.m. to play (Doors open at 5 p.m.). Learn more.

Chorale Cafe 

Join the Pitt-Greensburg Chorale & Chamber singers, and the Campana Consort for an evening of musical entertainment starting at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to enjoy a full spread of refreshments and light coffee service. S’mores & Sunset

Qigong Energy Flow for Fall – Daytime Series

Qigong supports the body’s natural tendency to return to harmonious balance. It is a gentle yet profound way to create equilibrium in your body and mind using gentle flowing movements, breathwork and meditation. Join Red Brick Yoga at 11:30 a.m. for this six-week series. Name That Tune: Halloween

Have a spooky time at Invisible Man Brewing with their Halloween Name That Tune! Everything kicks off at 7pm and is 21+. Learn more.

Fantasy Character Development with Tim Tholen

Create a unique character using your imagination and creativity! This is a chance to paint or draw that place from a dream or that vision you have always imagined. The character design process will incorporate traditional figure, portrait, and landscape skills to achieve a creation based on your unique vision. Pumpkin Pals Party 

For this month’s session of Mindful Crafting at The Space, it will be hosting a Pumpkin Pals Party! You will learn a few mindfulness techniques while painting and decorating pumpkins with your pals. This session starts at 6 p.m. and is recommended for ages 12 and under (A chaperone is suggested for pals under six years old). Tickets include pumpkins, supplies and light refreshments. Learn more.

Farrell Lecture: A Conversation with Sylvia Hill Fields, President, Eden Hall Foundation

The 2024 Farrell Lecture is presented by Seton Hill University’s School of Business and Technology and the Wukich Center for Entrepreneurial Opportunities, in partnership with the Seton Hill University Alumni College. Evil Dead The Musical 

The Greensburg Civic Theatre presents Evil Dead The Musical! Join for a bloody good time! Tickets are on sale now, but be warned, the first three rows are a ‘splash zone’ and you WILL get covered in blood. Fall Fest at Greensburg YMCA

Enjoy an evening of fun, fall activities from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be Pumpkin Pond Swimming (5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.), a caricature artist, a DJ, a bounce house, crafts and delicious food. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the Greensburg Volunteer Fire Department and explore their Heavy Rescue and Pumper vehicles. Learn more.

Saturday, October 19 

A Cutie Trunk or Treat

Join Cutie’s Coffee for its Trunk or Treat event benefiting its local foster care center (FCCY). There will be free trick or treating; food trucks; cotton candy; a craft table; hair tinsel; free face painting; and more. Spooky season is right around the corner and it’s time for The Trendy Bunny’s 5th annual Halloween party! There will be fun happening at both locations including gifts, treats, crafts and activities. Trunk or Treat

Join Seton Hill for a family-friendly Trunk-or-Treat event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Activities include: trick-or-treating, crafts, a hayride to the pumpkin patch, giveaways and other family fun. Prizes will be awarded for “Best Trunk” and “Best Costume” around 4:30 p.m. Trunk-or-Treat costs $5 per child.
