Steel Valley Visions Immersive Experience

The Westmoreland’s collection comes to life through multi-projection, surround sound, and animated effects. Created by award-winning OLO Creative Farm, this immersive experience seamlessly blends art and technology to evoke the feeling of stepping inside the paintings. The digital images of the artworks have been enhanced using visual effects to enrich the immersive experience. The immersive experience is on view during regular Museum hours. Admission is free; no reservation required.

Throughout the Big Steel Era in western Pennsylvania, artists captured a compelling visual record of the industry’s rise and fall: the grit and glory, power and peril, beauty and brutality. This exhibition brings together historical and contemporary works that reflect on the region’s industrial past and its continuing influence.

*Please note that the Steel Valley Visions immersive experience will not be on view during Art in Bloom (March 25-29) or during Reflections in Glass (Oct. 14-18).
